To ensure telco availability levels, ATCA has adopted NEBS4 rigorous standards for shock, vibration and seismic tests.
In December 2005, CorEdge Networks’ mechanicals for ATCA/MicroTCA Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMCs) and ATCA carrier cards successfully passed the NEBS Level 4 test standards.
This is the first time that ATCA mechanical parts from any supplier have passed these tests, and it represents a critical milestone in the commercialization of ATCA carrier cards and AMCs.
